SaaS runs in the Cloud and accessed using an internet browser. Because you don’t have to buy the software or purchase specific hardware…..many are willing to put their business and customers at a greater security risk for less upfront costs.

CONSIDER THIS:  One of the benefits to owing your own software and computers  is the business tax write off will be higher, and you get to own your hardware and software solution.  Plus,  your data is  never going to be held hostage or hacked from its cloud exposure to the service providers themselves or hackers who targeted them.  And if you can’t afford it you can lease it and write that off too!  An analogy for you to consider…..if you own a Mercedes you drive it whenever you want.  If you lease  it… you depend on the leasing company to stay in business so you can even drive it because it’s not yours to drive… .it belongs to the leasing company. Some people prefer to lease a car and some prefer to own.  Software as a Service (SaaS) vs Desktop software.
